These higher lift and duration cams feature improved profiles for better cylinder filling at an excellent price. Kit includes intake and exhaust cams and our cam installation kit (described below). Works best with custom computer chip. Emissions legal.

Clubsport Camshafts for 525 VANOS Engines
Lift and profile increased to maximum allowable limits of stock hydraulic lifters, springs, and piston to valve clearances. No internal engine modifications required. Works best with our fully prepared cylinder heads, titanium valve spring retainers and custom chip. Sold in pairs. 328 and 325 models require installation kit, below. Horsepower gains achieved above 6000 rpm making these cams ideal for track use.

Schrick Camshafts-525 Non-VANOS (91-92)
Schrick cams represent the newest and most advanced designs for BMW engines. Sophisticated changes in lobe center angles and larger base circles enable reliable utilization of high lift. Their chief quality is their ability to produce a great increase in power across a wide RPM range. Clean idling and strong bottom end torque are combined with superior top end power. They do not require fly-cutting the pistons for additional clearance, fuel injection modification or any additional installation parts. We recommend installing these cams in pairs.

S50/M50 Engines and Valve Spring Retainers
High revs can drive valve stems down into the soft original retainers, creating a destructive valve clearance gap. The resulting "clatter" is often mistaken for bent valves. BMW has updated the retainers on 97> cars to address this issue, but we see a new cases on older cars almost daily. The retainers listed below are stronger to address this issue.

About half the weight and twice the strength of steel. Used in all our stage 3, 4 and full race engines. Weight 12.5 grams each.
